Health and wellbeing: tuning into the Māori Health Authority

Hauora

In February Dr Emily Gil and supporters delivered a petition calling for a Māori Health Authority with commissioning rights to Parliament.

Since then MP Andrew Little has announced huge reforms to our healthcare system and a new Māori Health Authority should come into action next year.

What is a MHA? Where are things at right now? What is happening already? What cool initiatives can we expect to see that will improve the health and wellbeing of our Māori whānau? And why we should all get behind this kaupapa.

Wahine toa Dr Huhana Hickey is sure to find out for us in conversation with Dr Emily Gill, Dr Glenn Colquhoun and Dr Maria Baker.

Join us on the virtual couch Thursday 9 September 6.30pm to 8pm.
